Are all olive oils the same?

Olive oil is high in Omega-9, monounsatured fatty acids, Vitamin E and Oleuropein. These nutrients help in lowering bad cholesterol, hence reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Oleuropein is anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-cancer and helps to prevent osteoporosis. However, they only exist in Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Virgin Olive Oil.
