Salad-in-a-Jar (Tomato, cucumber, carrot, almond and egg salad)
It's not easy to get our 5 portions of veggie and fruits a day when we are eating out. So this is a way to achieve it by bringing your own salad on-the-go. This combination is a balanced meal as it provides you the macronutrients (carbohydrate, protein and fat) you need for a challenging day. Beside the veggies which will provide you the vitamin A and C, the almond is also a source of vitamin E, copper, magnesium, manganese, and high quality protein. Almond is also a fantastic source of antioxidants which help to protect agaitns oxidative stress. And for those who are watching your weight, this is a must-have meal in your diet.

Ingredient:
0.5 cup of tomato (diced)
0.5 cup cucumber (sliced)
0.5 cup carrot (strip)
1 large hard boiled egg
0.25 cup of rosted almond
Lemon juice (yiled of 0.25 lemon)
Method:
1. Arrange the veggie in the following sequence: tomato, cucumber, carrot, egg and almond.
2. Squeeze in the lemon juice.
3. Put on the cap and you are ready to bring it along with you.
