Natural Energy Booster
To celebrate Halloween, I've added some goodness to the classic pumpkin spice smoothie by adding in some ground flaxseed. Cinnamon and pumpkin are good at keeping your sugar level stable. While banana is a good source of potassium to maintain your blood pressure at a healthy level. With the addition of flaxseed, this smoothie can aid to lower your cholesterol level. It also assists in weigh control as it is high in fiber. If you are in a bad mood, the tryptophan from the banana will keep you at a happy mood.

Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh pumpkin (diced)
2 frozen banana
2 cup unsweetened soymilk
1/2 tspn cinnamon powder
1 tbsp flaxseed (ground)
Method:
1. Blend the pumpkin, banana and soymilk in a blender for about 10-15 seconds (depending on the texture of smoothie you prefer).
2. Scoop in the cinnamon powder and flaxseed then pulse a few seconds.
3. Serve chilled.
