Homemade Soymilk in 20 minutes as easy as 1-2-3
Some friends asked "Is it not tedious to make your own soymilk? Why not just buy from the soymilk maker?". Well, with a little help from technology, it's just as easy as 1-2-3 and you get to choose what to go in and what NOT to go in the soymilk.
The secret to this 20 minutes process is the Philips soymilk maker which comes not only with soymilk option, you can make rice paste, pureed soup, grains milk and even blend your favourite fruit or veggie juice. So yes, you can make cool drink using this machine too. I would highly recommend it to mothers who are looking for baby food maker. The plus point: it is so easy to clean. So, let's get to the 1-2-3 steps.
Serve: 4 (250ml)
Difficulty: Super Easy
Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
Half a cup of soy bean
1L water
Honey/ sweetener (optional)
Step 1: Wash your choice of soy bean and soak for 8 hours. I usually opt for organic soy bean and soak them overnight. According to the manual, you can skip this step, but soaking the bean will ensure the machine last longer.
Step 2: Into the maker with 1L of water, then choose the soymilk option and start the machine. Leave it and come back after hearing the beeping sound, which mark the end of the process.
Step 3: Strain (with a strainer which come together when I purchased the machine).
Add a little honey or brown sugar and wholesome homemade soymilk is ready for breakfast. It makes about 1L of soymilk, you can keep the balance in a clean glass jar and it will last for about 3 days.
