Tuna Okonomiyaki

Okonomiyaki, a Japanese savory pancake. Derived from the word "okonomi" meaning "what you like" and "yaki" meaning "grill". Suggested by the name itself, here's my version of okonomiyaki, tuna okonomiyaki. By the way, you can get the bonito flakes at supermarkets with Japanese products corner. I've got mine from a Japanese fair. Click here for the video.

Ingredients:
The filling:
4 cups of Cabbage (shredded)
1 cup of Carrot (shredded)
1 cup of Broccoli
1 cup of Onion (diced)
1 can of Tuna in water (drained)
2 tbsp of Extra virgin olive oil (divided)
1/8 tspn of Himalayan pink salt
1/2 tspn of Black Pepper
The batter:
1 cup of Unbleached wheat flour
1 cup of water
2 eggs
1/8 tspn of Himalayan pink salt
1/2 tspn of Black pepper
BBQ sauce:
4 tbsp of Tomato ketchup
1 tbsp of Low-sodium soy sauce
Garnish:
Bonito flakes
Instruction:
The filling:
1. First, saute the onion with 1 tbsp of olive oil until fragrant. Then add in the tuna. Stir-fry for awhile then in with all the veggies. Cook until they are soft then season with salt and pepper. Divide into 4 portions.
The batter:
2. In a bowl, mix well the wheat flour with egg and water then season with salt and pepper.
3. Divide them into 4 portions of filling.
4. Heat up the olive oil and cook for 2 minutes of each side.
BBQ sauce:
5. Just mix up the ketchup and soy sauce.
6. Garnish with some bonito flakes and serve hot.
